His academic journey began at MiraCosta Community College, where he initially pursued Animal Science with dreams of becoming a veterinarian at UC Davis. However, during his time at MiraCosta, he discovered a deep passion for Sociology, higher education, and leadership, which led him to change his academic focus. His dedication to advocacy and student engagement was evident through his leadership roles, including serving as President of multiple student clubs and the Associated Student Government.
At UCLA, he continued his commitment to student support by working with the UCLA LGBT Center and the Undocumented Student Program. After completing his undergraduate degree, he returned to MiraCosta College, where he gained diverse experience across various departments, including the Transfer Center, Student Life and Leadership, Academic Proctoring Center and Testing, First Year Forward, International Office, and Student Equity.
Passionate about expanding access to higher education for historically minoritized students, he is particularly interested in identifying strategies to support undocumented, queer, and trans students in community colleges. He actively seeks to promote asset-based thinking and community cultural wealth frameworks to validate and uplift student experiences.
Outside of his professional and academic pursuits, he is a proud Frenchie dad, a twin, and a devoted Lady Gaga fan.
